Napa – Today, Rep. Mike Thompson (CA-05) announced that every request he submitted for community funded projects within Napa County was included in the Fiscal Year (FY) 2023 funding legislation released by the House Appropriations Subcommittees. The projects include the Napa Homelessness Services Project, the Napa Valley Vine Trail Project, and the Ole Health Electronic Records Project.

Washington – Today, President Joe Biden signed Rep. Mike Thompson (CA-05)’s H.R. 735 into law. This bill renames the United States Post Office in Cotati after Art Ibleto, the Pasta King.
“Proud to see President Biden sign my bill to rename the Cotati Post Office after my friend, Art Ibleto, into law,” said Thompson. “This will honor Art’s tremendous life and cement his legacy and contributions to our community. I look forward to honoring Art again at the official renaming ceremony and hope to join with all who knew the Pasta King to remember his life.”

Washington – Today, House Gun Violence Prevention Task Force Chair Rep. Mike Thompson (CA-05) voted to pass the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act. The Senate passed this legislation by a vote of 65 to 33, with 15 Senate Republicans joining all 50 Senate Democrats. The bill passed the House by a vote of 234-193.
