Napa, CA -- Congressman Mike Thompson (CA-04) released the following statement today in response to a report revealing details of a police investigation into Eric Jones’ campaign surveilling Thompson’s home for two months.
“This is disturbing. It scared my wife, my granddaughter who lives with us, and my neighbor who is a single woman living alone. Given the terrible attack on Paul Pelosi and the increase in political violence against public officials recently, it’s hard to believe that anyone would think this was okay. I’m grateful to the law enforcement who have helped ensure my family and neighbors are safe and I remain focused on serving our community.”
