"No filter, no script — just real questions and real answers," said Thompson. "That's exactly what tonight was about. Thanks to every community member who showed up to discuss the chaos in Washington and how I'm working to find solutions. I won't stop until our democracy is secure and we lower costs for hardworking Americans."

During the event, Thompson addressed the ongoing conflict with Iran, warning against the prospect of a prolonged military engagement. As a combat veteran who served in the Army's 173rd Airborne Brigade, Thompson spoke to the real costs of war and reaffirmed his vote for the War Powers Resolution to end military operations in the region.

Thompson also highlighted the economic impact of the administration's tariffs on Sonoma Valley families, businesses, and the local wine community, noting that California families paid an estimated $1,900 more last year as a result of higher prices. He discussed his ongoing efforts to repair trade relations with Canada, one of California's top wine export markets.

On affordability, Thompson highlighted his American Affordability Act, legislation designed to lower costs for families on housing, energy, healthcare, childcare, and education. He also outlined more than $47 million in community investments he has secured for the district over the last three years, including bike lanes and sidewalks along Highway 12, Highway 37 improvements, and the Tolay Creek Bridge replacement.
