Santa Rosa – On August 7, Rep. Mike Thompson (CA-04) will hold an event with local veterans to discuss the PACT Act, a new law that provides health care and benefits to veterans exposed to burn pits and other toxic substances.
During the event, Rep. Thompson and representatives from the Department of Veterans Affairs will highlight these new benefits and encourage veterans throughout California’s Fourth District to apply for benefits. In order to receive backdated benefits, veterans must apply by August 9.
