Washington, D.C. – Today, Rep. Mike Thompson (CA-04) released the following statement after voting “No” on Congressional Republicans’ defense authorization bill and Congressional Republicans’ $95 billion funding package.
“The last thing we should be doing is writing blank checks to continue this illegal war with Iran,” said Thompson. “Congressional Republicans passed two partisan bills today that not only failed to end this war with Iran, but they also funded it by billions more dollars. We should be focused on lowering costs for families — not waging another endless war.”
