Washington – Today, Rep. Mike Thompson (CA-04) issued the following statement on President Biden's Middle East Peace Plan:
“We have an opportunity to secure a peaceful path forward for Israel and the Palestinian people. President Biden's proposed peace plan would ensure the release of all hostages, deliver immediate and consistent humanitarian aid to Palestinian civilians, protect Israel’s security, reconstruct Gaza, and achieve a permanent cessation of hostilities. These provisions are ones I have called for repeatedly and consistently for the duration of this conflict and I continue to support the establishment of a two-state solution to bring peace and security to Palestinians and Israelis. Hamas negotiators must accept this plan without delay."
