The 21st Century ROAD to Housing Act is the most significant bipartisan federal housing legislation enacted in decades, giving communities new tools to preserve affordable housing, rehabilitate aging homes, and build more housing faster. By expanding the Rental Assistance Demonstration program and strengthening Community Development Block Grant and HOME funding, the law builds on SHRA’s ability to use federal resources to renovate public housing and revitalize Sacramento neighborhoods like Mirasol Village.
