California – Rep. Mike Thompson (CA-04) introduced a resolution to the U.S. House of Representatives recognizing June 15th to July 15th as Lavender Growers Month to encourage Americans to learn about, visit, and support lavender farms and businesses across the United States.
“Lavender has applications in agriculture, wellness, culinary arts and manufacturing and contributes greatly to California’s rural economies,” said Thompson.
“The months of June and July represent peak bloom for lavender in many regions of our country, making this moment a vital time to recognize the hardworking lavender growers who contribute so much to our economy. I encourage every American to take some time this month to learn about, visit, and support lavender farms and businesses across our country.”
