Thompson Slams President's Reckless Misinformation on Election Security

Washington, D.C. – Rep. Mike Thompson (CA-04) released the following statement in response to the President's address to the nation tonight questioning the integrity of the United States' elections:

"The President spread reckless misinformation tonight to sow doubts about November's midterm elections. The American people aren't buying it," said Thompson.

"Our intelligence agencies' investigations have shown that there was no foreign interference or widespread voter fraud in our 2020 elections or following elections. Instead of stoking old, debunked conspiracy theories, the President should be focused on stopping ICE's out-of-control killings, lowering the cost of living, and ending his illegal war with Iran."
